The Chopper
This style of customized ride has its origins in California in the 1950’s. The word ‘Chopper’ coming from the situation where you start with an original motorcycle and ‘chop’ it or ‘modify’ it. A key feature of the “Chopper” is it’s long front end and extended forks.
As for handlebars, we would go with something old school like Ape Hangers, Pullbacks, or funky Six Bends. For a more detailed explanation and history you can’t go past this page on Wikipedia
