The Digger has its history rooted in the evolution of drag racing bikes. Some sources describe the Digger as a 1970’s Flashback. With their extended forks and awesome looks they do ‘drag’ up memories of your favourite childhood ‘dragstar’. The Scrambler has its roots in the Californian Desert Races of the 1960’s. Steve McQueen famously raced a Triumph “Desert Sled” Scrambler. The name gives a hint to its inception. Scramblers initially needed to get from Point A to Point B fast with high regard to speed and little to rules. Visions of ‘scrambling’ from one point to another come to mind. Scramblers by their nature, are an all terrain ride. This style of customized ride has its origins in California in the 1950’s. The word ‘Chopper’ coming from the situation where you start with an original motorcycle and ‘chop’ it or ‘modify’ it. A key feature of the “Chopper” is it’s long front end and extended forks. As for handlebars, we would go with something old school like Ape Hangers, Pullbacks, or funky Six Bends.
